Newcastle Leave Competition Trailing With Pre-Season Preparations – MD Resigns and Mentalist Put In Charge Of Football Side

Newcastle United have formally announced that Derek Llambias has resigned as Managing Director of Newcastle United.

In true NUFC/Mike Ashley style though, the information was first released by SKY’s David Craig at Ascot Races! Craig reporting that Llambias had informed SKY he had resigned but would be making no further comment.

Did you hear the one about the Director Of Football…

The official club statement reads;

The Club can announce that Managing Director, Derek Llambias, has resigned from his position with immediate effect.

Derek said “I have had an incredible journey during my five years at the club, including some challenging times.  I will reflect with great fondness on my time in the North East and, in me, Newcastle United have a lifelong supporter.

“I want to thank the staff for their hard work, our fans for their support of the club, and wish them all well for the future.”

Our understanding is that neither Llambias or Pardew knew anything about Kinnear’s appointment, despite what the walking disgrace that is Joe Kinnear was telling everybody. In fact there are now rumours surfacing that his real name is…William (Billy) Fisher! (Google it if you’re struggling)

I never thought I’d see the day when Newcastle United looked weaker without Derek Llambias! That day however, has arrived.
