Mike Ashley and Graham Carr Reach Agreement
Fans have worried that one of the few good news stories, Graham Carr, might follow Derek Llambias out of the door on the back of Joe Kinnear’s arrival.
However, it is now reported that after meeting Mike Ashley for talks, Chief Scout Carr’s intention is to ‘Carry On At St.James’ Park’ (which by the way isn’t the latest movie in the ‘Carry On’ series…yet!).
Damian Spellman of the Press Association has said that they understand Graham Carr agreed to continue in his post after getting confirmation that he can continue in his work of identifying the players who he believes can take the club forward.
With the Press Association saying the above then we can take it that the source of this information stands up.
While Newcastle retain the positive elements of the club such as Graham Carr and the nucleus of good/very good players that he has helped to bring in, there is still every chance that the club can emerge from the latest crisis that has come along.
If the success stories inside the club begin to jump ship then there really might be no hope.
