Joe Kinnear Pushes Alan Pardew Further Towards End Of The Gangplank

7 years ago

Talk about making an impossible job even harder!

Last season Alan Pardew had to go on camera and in front of journalists, defending the indefensible.

As the lone spokesman Pardew was hung out to dry as he was put in the position of having to comment positively on whatever Mike Ashley deemed the next daft move to make.

This ranged from having to put a positive spin on Wonga coming in as shirt sponsor, right though to saying it was actually a good think Newcastle didn’t sign the essential players we needed last summer, with the kids getting their chance instead of the players Pardew had stated as fact would be coming in.

Now things are moving to a whole new level as the pressure is cranked up to force the manager out, in my opinion.

Joe Kinnear has now told the Evening Chronicle;

“The public face when addressing the supporters via the media will be Alan Pardew”.

As if things couldn’t get worse than having to speak in place of Mike Ashley and Derek Llambias, now the manager will have to do the bidding of Ashley and Kinnear!

For my money it is transparent that those at the club are trying to humiliate Pardew into leaving and so I’m guessing now that Alan Pardew will have to at some point say that bringing in Douglas on a free was pointless due to the ‘young lads coming through’. Or if for whatever bizarre reason Newcastle don’t bring in at least one quality striker, we’ll again hear how ‘Shola and Adam Campbell are breathing down Papiss Cisse’s neck’.

I’d rather we had strikers scoring goals than taking part in any heavy breathing shenanigans!

I don’t think we’ve heard the last of Joe Kinnear unfortunately, in more ways than one, but I’m guessing we’ll only hear him when there is something that he wants to say, leaving the bitterest pills to Mr.Pardew.
