How Hard Can It Be To Sign One Of These Ten Strikers…?
I’d be VERY worried about you if you thought Newcastle didn’t need to sign any new strikers this summer.
So the only question is whether we need one, two or three?
If Cisse stays then most of us would settle for one new striker with a goalscoring pedigree, with the worries of last summer’s transfer fiasco hanging over us then we’re grateful just to get one over the line. In reality though we are desperate for at least two other goal scoring options.

46 1.44 Messi (Barelona)
34 1.00 Ronaldo (Real Madrid)
31 1.03 Bony (Vitesse Arnhem)
30 0.88 Ibrahimovic (PSG)
29 0.85 Cavani (Napoli)
28 0.82 Falcao (Atletico Madrid)
27 0.90 Pelle (Feyenoord)
26 0.68 Van Persie (Man.U.)
25 0.74 Kiessling (Bayer Leverkusen)
25 0.60 Negredo (Sevilla)
The question for most fans is whether Newcastle will face up to facts and be prepared to get involved in any kind of bidding wars if any strikers with the kind of profile these ten have, or those just below them. In January, Mike Ashley undoubtedly ripped up the ‘no negotiation’ policy in order to get five senior players in, was that a one window only offer?
The fans generally feel so downtrodden that there is very little buzz as to anticipating who Newcastle might sign this summer.
Without at least one extra proven striker, Ashley is going to be rolling the dice again and hoping for the best.
