Two More Newcastle Players Stand Chance Of Return This Season

While Newcastle United are expected to welcome back their captain, Fabricio Coloccini, at West Ham today, another couple of players could come off the injury list before the end of the season.

While today’s match at Upton Park looks to have come too early, Sylvain Marveaux has a chance of making the final two matches against QPR and Arsenal.

The Hartlepool Mail have reported that Marveaux has been doing fitness work alongside Davide Santon, the Italian having a small chance of making the Arsenal match.

The Frenchman’s groin injury and the Italian’s hamstring problem could be injuries that will see a comeback partly based on how the league table looks in the final weeks.

It would appear daft to risk either of them if Premier League safety is already secured but I can see Alan Pardew desperate to get Marveaux back involved as with Newcastle having struggled for creativity, the French midfielder conjured up a number of winners for Papiss Cisse before picking up his latest injury.
