Pardew Calls Dressing Room Split Story “An Insult”

Alan Pardew has once again hit back at the accusations thrown at his squad this week.

While the manager was prepared to accept criticism of the performance of his team against Liverpool, he has reacted angrily to accusations of splits within the squad.

The club have even taken the unusual step of banning the journalist and his newspaper.

At today’s pre-match press conference for the West Ham match, Alan Pardew was obviously waiting for the question(s) regarding that story;

“The accusation is an insult and this group is together still.

Some of the criticism has been totally unfounded.”

Obviously the vultures are circling and while I think the manager has made mistakes, just like they all do, I think the level of criticism has been way over the top.

Whether or not there is any split amongst the players we’ll never know and on past performance I’d rather believe Pardew than the journalists.
