Cheick Tiote Doesn’t Like What He Sees When He Looks In The Mirror
One of the major disappointments of this season has been the form of Cheick Tiote.
Our fragmented season is kind of summed up by Tiote, who has had injuries, suspension, lack of form and the African Cup Of Nations to deal with.
Maybe more than most he has suffered from not having any continuity this season and getting into a playing rhythm.
“I think it is important to think about yourself when you finish the season, you have to think why it didn’t go so well.
This season was really difficult for me because of form, injuries and suspensions.
It was not a top season for me but that is football. I try to do my best all of the time and I look in the mirror.
When you are on the pitch you want to fight and everyone to do their jobs. You want to help your partner as well.
As a team we didn’t play well sometimes, I think next season is going to be different.
I am just thinking about Arsenal and then being ready for next season.”
Arsenal are going to provide difficult opposition and an ideal starting point for Tiote and his teammates would be putting in a performance against the Gunners to give us hope/expectation for better next season.
