Carroll Will Accept Pay-Cut To Get Newcastle Move
There are claims this morning that Andy Carroll is intent on returning to St.James’ Park in the summer.
Furthermore, it is reported that he is so desperate to rejoin United, he will take a sizeable pay-cut from £90,000 to £60,000, which would bring him in line with Newcastle’s top earners.
Despite Liverpool’s protestations, Carroll clearly has no (playing) future at Anfield and at some point the scousers/Americans have to accept a major hit on the £35m that they and Kenny Dalglish (best thing he ever did for us!) paid to Mike Ashley.
As with all transfer ‘stories’ at this stage, you can only give them the smallest amount of credibility but at least if Newcastle beat Queens Park Rangers they can start planning for next season as they’ll know which division they will definitely be in.
