Attack Is Only Option When Newcastle Go To QPR
It seems attack is the word that has long been missing from the Alan Pardew vocabulary this season and in particular the last few months.
Personally I think we have more chance getting a result against Arsenal than we do against QPR. The fact is that 4 points from our last 2 games would guarantee safety.

The more realistic method of survival is that we play our usual negative football and keep our next two games down to a small defeat and survive by having a better goal difference than Wigan or maybe Norwich. It is not ideal but given we were more concerned on getting a point at West Ham than winning I think it is a realistic one.
Newcastle’s relatively long odds on relegation are due to many outside of the city believing we will get an easy 3 points against a relegated team. I suspect that with contracts to play for elsewhere, several of these players will raise their game given the lack of pressure. My biggest fear is that Mr. Remy, who so dramatically turned us down, will be the big difference. There is no question he is a player of immense quality and despite some sensational goals hasn’t been able to keep QPR up. It gives you that horrible feeling of thinking “what if” we had signed him, where would we be now?
Newcastle need to demonstrate this weekend that they can actually take a game to a side for more than 20 minutes and if they do that, against one of the worst defences in the league, we should be able to at least scrape a point.
Personally I think, if we manage to do the unthinkable and get into a position of safety this weekend, we should let Pardew go before the Arsenal game. This of course is a big IF. I’ve been watching skysports over the last few days and seeing the joy of fans surviving to stay in the various leagues.
Now this is all well and good for someone like Wigan who do this every year as if they have won the cup, but if I see one fan hugging Pardew or any of our players after Arsenal or QPR because we are safe I will personally give them a clip across the ear.
It’s a joke we are here and I won’t be celebrating if we stay up, I’ll just be asking for the required manager change. Figures and toes crossed, howay everyone who can do us a favour.
