Alan Pardew Urged To Ditch The Timid Approach

I guess it just about sums up the way things are going for us that the Wigan ‘thug’ Callum Mcmanaman has scored vital goals in two recent games, no doubt to the joy of Dave Whelan in his fantasy football world.

We will also have the usual fawning over the ‘minnows’ of Wigan in the run up to the Cup Final and the annual rubbish about their heroic escape act.

If the FA had done their job half well then McManaman would not be playing for the rest of the season but as we know they failed miserably.

We now have the media salivating at the prospect of Newcastle going down and no doubt they will have the TV cameras scouring the crowd at our final game in the hope of beaming tearful Geordies to the whole nation.

One thing I do hope is that Pardew really does go for it and ditches the timid approach that has led to one goal in the past three games. When Wigan scored their winning goal at WBA (McManaman again) they had five players in the opposition penalty area….we normally struggle to have one there!!!

Finally let’s hear no more of the usual claptrap in the press from players saying that ‘…we are all united and fighting for the fans…’ and simply urge them to go out and do their talking on the pitch.
