Alan Pardew Tries Out Demba Ba Tactics On Coloccini

8 years ago

One player that Alan Pardew is desperate to keep hold of is clearly Fabricio Coloccini.

The vast majority of fans feel the same way and it is no coincidence that since Colo’s return the defence has looked a lot more solid.

With the added hindrance of having different partners in the two matches (Taylor and Williamson), the only goal conceded being the rubbish penalty decision at QPR.

The manager appealed to the fans to show their love for Demba Ba when trying to convince him to stay, now Coloccini is getting the ‘lurve’ treatment from Alan Pardew as well;

“I think it is important that we show him (Coloccini) the love, in terms of myself and the team, that we want him to stay.

I spoke to him at length this week and ultimately it has got to work for him.

Forget about Hatem and anybody else, the biggest difference has been Coloccini (since his return).

If he does go we need to replace that experience and quality.”

Let’s hope this love initiative is more successful than the Ba one, we could do with positive news moving forward.

I’m prepared to show Colo my manly love tomorrow, are you?
