Who Does Davide Santon’s Agent Actually Work For?
I know that all agents aren’t the devil incarnate, probably, but certainly some are worse than others.
Never a month goes by without Davide Santon’s agent commenting on the future of ‘his’ player and he’s up to it again.

This is what Renzo Contratto is quoted as saying this week to Russian website Izvestia.ru;
I don’t know what will happen in the summer but I believe the club won’t let him go for less than a certain amount.”
As we all know, agents make their money by players moving about or getting enhanced contracts.
Santon’s agent continually talking in public about a possible transfer, including when he protests a bit too loudly about transfer speculation, is at odds with all the comments the player he himself has made while at Newcastle.
Santon repeatedly says how settled he is and indeed is looking forward to the birth of his first child with his girlfriend who is a native of Tyneside.
If I had to guess I would say Santon’s agent is looking to bump up the player’s contract in a bit of a crass way, though of course no doubt a transfer (for his agent) would be a bonus if it happened.
I think Davide has to tell his agent to button it, or look for an alternative agent.
We have got used to rubbish in the press over the years but at the very least we need the players to help put a lid on it as much as possible.
