Sunderland’s Owner Abuses Alan Pardew
A quite bizarre revelation has come out ahead of tomorrow’s match between Newcastle and Sunderland.
It is reported that Sunderland’s owner, Ellis Short, abused Alan Pardew shortly before the derby match kicked off down at their place earlier this season.
The Express are claiming that Alan Pardew went to shake hands with Short before kick-off and the mackem owner instead said, “Why don’t you just f*** off?”
The story says that Short’s reaction was due to him blaming Pardew for the bad tempered spat between the Newcastle manager and O’Neill at St.James’ Park the previous season.
If you remember, O’Neill made a fool of himself that day by refusing to have the customary post-match drink with the opposing manager and instead chose to keep the episode running, unlike normal competitors who shake hands after a sporting event and leave what’s happened on the pitch.
I hesitate to say it but I will anyway, this is another example of Sunderland’s lack of class, no wonder they have now employed a self-confessed fascist.
