Shola – ‘I’m The Daddy!’

Happy news for one of Alan Pardew’s squad as the Chronicle have revealed that Shola Ameobi missed the Manchester City match not through yet another injury but because his wife was due to give birth.

Shola has now temporarily left new son Noah on Tyneside and this is how Alan Pardew reported the news;

“It was a blow not to have him (Shola) on Friday when his wife went into labour, he wasn’t missing through injury at Manchester City.

I’m sure he will play a part in Lisbon and he is fit and well.

I’ve brought him away so that he can get a decent night’s sleep!

In terms of for Newcastle United, you look at our team and we aren’t very interested in Europe outside of Shola Ameobi and Steven Taylor.”

In these days of intense media speculation and of course social media, I find it quite revealing that a player like Shola can still have a private life if he chooses, I didn’t even know he was married yet alone due to introduce yet another Ameobi into the football world.

Great odds on NUFC v Benfica, especially if you aren’t already a customer of BetVictor and take advantage of their special offer of a £25 free matched bet to help pay for your European dream.
