Northumbria Police have released images of another 21 people they’d like to ‘talk to’ in connection with the disorder following the derby match against Sunderland.

There have already been 47 arrests and with the amount of video footage and stills available to the police, there was  always going to be a significant number of images released.

Newcastle area commander, Chief Superintendent Gary Calvert;

“The investigation’s well under way and a further 18 people arrested in the past week, they’re now on bail while the full investigation continues.

I’d like to thank the public again for their continued help…we anticipate more arrests and will be releasing more images as the enquiry continues.

Anyone who recognises people in the images is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 Ext 69191, of Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

It was revealed at the weekend that only six of the twenty nine originally arrested had either a season ticket or NUFC membership and it will be interesting to see what the final figure is in terms of how many arrested were actually at the match.
