Yet more images have been released by Northumbria Police in relation to the disorder following the derby match against Sunderland.

Of the first twenty nine arrested only six had either season tickets or NUFC memberships.

The total number of arrests has now climbed to fifty five, though there has been no update as to how many of them are members/season ticket holders…if any.

Newcastle area commander, Chief Superintendent Gary Calvert;

I’d like to thank the public again for their continued help…we anticipate more arrests and will be releasing more images as the enquiry continues.

Anyone who recognises people in the images is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 Ext 69191, of Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

To police have now released a third set of images and are asking people to help identify them.

Newcastle United have already declared that anybody found guilty will be subjected to a lifetime ban from St.James’ Park.
