Papiss Cisse – Form Is Temporary, Class Is Permanent
In football today, the margins between heroes and villains appears to have shrunk to almost nothing.
With every goal…or miss, replayed repeatedly using every kind of technology, everything is magnified to a ridiculous degree which some fans seem incapable of dealing with.
A minority of Newcastle supporters fall into that category, incapable of accepting players having a dip in form that happens to them all, taken to an extreme the same fans can be all over a player one minute and then by the next match they want him dropped.

When Papiss Cisse arrived at St.James’ Park he was a bit of an unknown quantity, fans could easily find out that he scored for fun in Germany (see the excellent goals compilation from his time in Germany below) and he’d cost around £10m, but we didn’t really know what to expect.
He hit the ground running and scored a cracker on his debut against Villa, ending up scoring 13 goals in as many matches and most of them absolute crackers.
That was never going to continue and with a combination of the supply line seizing up due partly to injuries and Cisse moved out of position to accommodate Demba Ba, it made it so much harder.
Now he is back where he needs to be, the furthest player forward and able to seize on any opportunity that drops; winners against Stoke, Anzhi and Fulham proof of that.
Since the start of the 2010/11 season, Papiss Cisse has scored 58 club goals in 105 appearances, he is a quality striker who will score goals and any fool should be able to see that.
He will miss some and infuriate you at times, the fact is though you have to take the fact he should have slid a simple return pass to Marveaux for a tap-in against Fulham and put it in the mix with the outrageous thunderbolt from nothing against Southampton.
Out and out goalscorers are a rare breed and we are lucky to have ours.
As a bonus watch and enjoy these goals of Papiss Cisse pre-Newcastle.
