Keegan – Newcastle Will Sell Players This Summer

This week’s Soccerex event at Manchester saw Kevin Keegan in attendance and he was asked his views on what he saw in the future for Newcastle.

While not slagging off Newcastle’s owner, Kevin Keegan’s message was probably not what most Newcastle fans would want to hear.

Keegan;

“I think that Newcastle are a selling club, they didn’t give Ba the sort of security he wanted in his deal.

I think that they are going to move players on in the summer but if they keep Graham Carr and he keeps finding them…I doubt the Geordies will care whose name is on the back of the shirts just so long as they come and play well and give it their all.

I know Graham Carr very well and I employed him at Manchester City, He knows the French league and it is a good policy because they get very good quality players in who want to prove themselves in the Premier League.”

I would hope that like most of you there has been a shift in the outlook on transfer policy and Newcastle will do everything they can to keep best players AND back Graham Carr and Alan Pardew in investing in the extra players that the squad is clearly short of.
