I Was Praying We’d Lose To Liverpool

I’m not proud to say this but talking to my mates going to the match and texting some very good scouser mates I stay with when I go to watch the away match; I was praying we lost today.

Not praying because I want to see the lads go down of course but praying we would lose so Cashley would finally see the light and sack our manager.

I’m so sick and tired of watching useless shapeless performances week in week out and then have to listen to all the pathetic excuses he comes out with after each and every game.

This isn’t just a bad end of season run, this goes back to the end of last season when we threw away a golden opportunity to be in the Champions league…our run of results since the end of April last year with the exception of beating Chelsea away (lost to Wigan 0-4, Manchester City 0-2 and Everton 1-3) has been nothing short of abysmal.

But this shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, this has got Pardew’s footprint all over it…he’s done EXACTLY THE SAME everywhere he’s gone. Those of you that comment on my blogs have seen me say this a million times so no doubt will be yawning yet again at the repetition…but after that performance on Saturday I’m hoping you’ll have woken up and can now smell the coffee.

DID YOU SEE THE GAPS IN MIDFIELD!!! Perch thought he was Sissoko and was playing a stupidly advanced role.

Sissoko thought he was Ben Afra wide out on the wing again, Cisse never got a decent ball all night because he was completely isolated and no one was within 20 yards of him, Tiote was ineffectual yet again, Guti was just terrible and Cabaye had no support at all and looks a broken man.

Good teams who play decent football ‘swarm’ the player on the ball so that player has several pass options, when we get the ball our players run away from the ball leaving nothing but the long ball, it’s depressing.

So here we are yet again…another massive loss and it’s about time Pardew was held responsible. The team walking off the pitch at the end of that game looked totally defeated in body, spirit and mind. There’s no doubt in my opinion Pardew has now lost the dressing room and in my opinion it’s still not too late to sack him.

All we need is someone to come in and give us the same injection of adrenaline Di Canio gave the mackems and that would be enough to steer us to safety, we only need one win but if we stay with Pardew now he will drag us down into oblivion because the players and supporters just don’t believe in him anymore. The team was set up yet again today not to lose and as many have commented before, if you set up not to lose…you always lose.

Allardyce knows how to beat Newcastle and there’s no doubt we’ll get beat again down there, we then play QPR away and a resurgent Arsenal. So in essence we have one game left to stop us going down and if Pardew goes down to QPR and bottles it by setting up not to lose, then we’re going down for sure.

This is a one game deal, do you still have enough trust in Pardew to go down to QPR and pull off the win we need to stay up, or do we make a change now.

I vote to change now but In Pardew do you still trust?
