Predictable Newcastle United Line-Up To Take On Swansea
Not so long ago it was a case of scratching around for a full team who were up to the job but now I have confidence in every one of my predicted starting eleven. (NUFC a great price at 5/2 to win)
Jonas has been one of the players to be reinvigorated by the January signings and has shown once again what he can contribute when Newcastle have a good team out on the pitch.
His unselfish play and willingness to cover, give a great platform for players such as Sissoko and Cabaye to do their thing, as well as helping to get our attacking full-backs into threatening positions.
There are those who would have Marveaux in ahead of Gutierrez and I find the idea barmy. While Marveaux has pulled his finger out a bit with the new signings such as Sissoko (I fancy him at 7/2 to score any time) coming in, he might have decent ability but his lack of pace and stamina mean he couldn’t do half of the donkey work that Jonas puts in.
The one starting change I foresee is the obvious one of Mapou alongside Taylor, with Coloccini apparently out for the next month or so according to reports this morning. The new signing looked really good at right-back and then in his more favoured position he looked the part when he replaced Colo against Southampton.
Barring injuries I can’t see Alan Pardew changing anything else as it has been amazing how quickly the new signings have slotted in and also reassuring to see Cheick Tiote back to something like his dominating best against the Saints.
