Pardew ‘We’ve Got More French Internationals Than PSG’

With international fixtures taking centre stage, Alan Pardew has given the press a quick rundown on his squad and the targets for next year.

With Tim Krul and the strong French contingent he is understandably enthusiastic;

“We’ve got the Dutch national keeper and more players in the French side than any other club including PSG and whoever else you want to name in France.

We are getting there and setting ourselves up to have a real good go at the Premier League next year. This season we know we need to get that safety under our belts as quickly as we can, while hopefully we can cover ourselves in glory in Europe.”

While we never know what is around the corner, I think we all like our managers to have a positive outlook, just so long as it isn’t empty words.

We can all see the obvious quality of a number of our players and while safety and Europe are the immediate concerns, we wouldn’t need a major change in personnel to be in a position to attack the top six.

Manchester United walking the league with what for them looks an average team, tells you all you need to know about the current relative strength of the Premier league, which is backed up by Champions League results.

Having a ‘real go’ is the only way to go.
