Haidara Escapes Serious Injury And Due Back Early April

Newcastle United have now confirmed that the latest scan results are in and Massadio Haidara has luckily avoided significant bone or ligament damage.

The damage is limited to bruising of the bone and soft tissue damage and depending on speed of recovery could be back in early April.

The player will continue to be monitored over the next few days but the club have made clear that just because Haidara has avoided serious injury, it doesn’t lessen the severity of the tackle which could have produced a career ending injury.

You would hope that Callum McManaman will be breathing a huge sigh of relief at the news because hopefully his conscience has been bothering him ever so slightly.

What the last few days have taught us is what a tangled web we have off the pitch, where the aim appears to be to muddy the waters enough so nobody has to take responsibility and justice is therefore very hard to find.
