Better Injury News On Two Fronts For Newcastle
With Davide Santon the latest player to have injury concerns with a thigh problem while on international duty, Alan Pardew will have been desperately hoping for better news elsewhere.
His hopes could be positive on two fronts, with firstly The Journal reporting that there could be better news on the Massadio Haidara front. The newspaper reports that Newcastle officials are hopeful that a second scan next week could show the injury isn’t as bad as first thought and Haidara could return before the end of the season. However, they have to wait for that second scan due to the significant swelling and bruising that is still there at the moment.
More importantly possibly in terms of Newcastle United’s immediate aspirations, Yohan Cabaye successfully came through a training session yesterday (see photo) with the rest of the French squad.
Stating the obvious but naturally Yohan is essential to our prospects for the rest of this season so fingers crossed he comes back fit.
