Alan Pardew Waxes Lyrical About Newcastle United’s ‘Suarez’
If you remember, Alan Pardew was very patient last season as Hatem Ben Arfa made his gradual comeback after his serious injury, which undoubtedly helped the French playmaker be such a hit when he was eventually fully fit and mentally prepared.
After surprisingly starting Hatem in Moscow where he managed sixty minutes but picked up a dead leg, Alan Pardew has now shown in an interview on the club’s TV channel yet again just how highly he rates Hatem Ben Arfa
He’s a massive player at this level, he’s out Suarez, somebody who in a tight game can create something out of nothing.
It would be great if we can have him available tomorrow, the last thirty minutes, he was a real problem for Stoke last year.
He could play anywhere, he’s one of those players, in an offensive situation…I wouldn’t want to play him at centre-half!
Tremendous technique and great mentality to be one of the best players in the world, that’s what he wants to be, that is his target.
All I’m trying to do is drive him towards that goal”.
The goals and pieces of magic we have seen from Hatem Ben Arfa are a match for Lionel Mess and anybody else in between, the difference with Messi of course is that he does it on such a consistent basis. We need Hatem Ben Arfa to stay fit and who knows what he can achieve now that extra quality such as Moussa Sissoko has arrived.
