Alan Pardew – Newcastle Lose It All But Keep Their Honour

A very entertaining second half was marred by the fact that Massadio Haidara had already been stretchered off and the final blow, a handball helping Wigan score the winner.

Understandably, Alan Pardew wasn’t impressed when he spoke to NUFCTV;

“We lose Mathieu (Debuchy) to a hamstring injury, we lose Massadio (Haidara) to a terrible tackle, we lose the game in the last minute to a handball, tough to take.”

“It looks like knee ligaments and he’s got very bad bruising on that leg, I just hope it’s no worse than that.”

“I thought we played a calm second half in control of our emotions, nobody did anything untoward. In the circumstances I thought that was honorable of us, our fans were in great form and we deserved something.”

I thought our manager handled himself really well and I would have paid good money to see John Carver getting interviewed after that debacle.
