Alan Pardew Makes Paris Trip After Ashley Transfer Talks

Alan Pardew was in Paris on Tuesday night and took in Yohan Cabaye and Moussa Sissoko’s performances for France in their defeat by Spain.

However, it is reported that the visit is rather on the back of talks the manager held last week with regard to summer transfer moves.

The Journal, which is close to the club, believe that Newcastle are looking to do their transfer dealing early and Mike Ashley will back the manager with much of the extra TV money the club will bank next season, just so long as we are still in the Premier League of course…

It is claimed that Newcastle are looking to add three ‘Purples’/first team players plus also looking to recruit more ‘ones for the future’, with Graham Carr taking in France’s Under 18 and Under 20 internationals in recent weeks.

Transfer activity is sure to be fierce in terms of competition in the summer, with all the extra money swilling around the Premier League, would be nice to think Newcastle may have 2 or 3 real value for money quality players earmarked, while many other clubs scramble to pay top dollar for journeymen established Premier League players.
