United Fan Goes On ‘Coals To Newcastle’ Journey
Thanks today to Michael Haddrick who went on a bit of a ‘Coals To Newcastle’ journey.
Usually we have fans heading off to all kinds of exotic locations around the UK and around the globe but here we feature Michael after heading halfway around the world to…St.James’ Park!
Michael takes up the story;
‘The photo is of me last summer while I visited Newcastle during my Euro-trip.
No games were on, but coming from Australia and going to Europe, I had to go to Newcastle and see my club, the stadium, the history and the fellow fans.
After the visit, my passion and love for the club went to new levels. I have always followed the team with passion since 1995, and usually know more about the club than most Geordies, but to go there and see it in the flesh rather than staying up until 3am to watch the games, totally worth it…
