FC Metalist Kharkiv v Newcastle United
Thursday 21 February 2013 6pm (live on ESPN)

With every one of Newcastle United’s match fit quality players making the trip to the Ukraine, it has given a massive lift to the watching United fans, whether or not they are watching at home or have made the tricky journey to see the match live.

Only Davide Santon who has a knock on his ankle and the returning from injury Hatem Ben Arfa will be unavailable, as well as Debuchy and Gouffran who aren’t eligible to play tonight.

So will Alan Pardew only make that one enforced change at left-back or will he leave out some of his big hitters despite dragging them over to the Ukraine in the following nineteen man squad?

Shola, Anita, Bigirimana, Cabaye, Cisse, Coloccini, Elliot, Gosling, Jonas, Haidara, Krul, Marveaux, Obertan, Perch, Simpson, Sissoko, (S) Taylor, Tiote, Mapou

I fancy and hope we will get our first sight of Haidara at left-back, though there are other options such as dropping Jonas back there, or putting Simpson in who has played there before, as has Vurnon Anita.

My money though is on Anita coming back into the midfield at the expense of Obertan who was poor last week.

Fingers crossed for our Europa hopes that we will be going with the strongest line-up and the manager gives it an hour or so before his mind focuses on who he might have to look after with Southampton on Sunday in mind.

What line-up would you like to see?
