Newcastle Transfer Target Urged To Snub Russians And Wait For English Move

One striker widely linked with Newcastle United during January, has now been urged to turn down the chance to move to Russia and wait for a move to the Premier league in the summer.

United were strongly linked with Vitesse Arnhem’s forward, Wilfried Bony, and now his club captain, Guram Kashia, is urging the player to stay until the end of the season for two reasons.

Kashia speaking to Voetbal Primeur;

“The team need Bony, we have 12 finals and there’s still the possibility of Europa League qualification.

Wilfried must wait until the summer when he can then go to the best league in the world, the English Premier League”.

Just in case you are a little confused, while the transfer window has shut in England, in various countries they have different dates. It is the dates of the league you are moving to that matter, so technically Newcastle could still sell Krul, Cisse, Tiote etc.

The transfer window in Russia closes at midnight on 27th February and if you are really paranoid about us hanging onto our best players, other league transfer deadlines are as follows; FC Metalist’s Ukraine is 15th February, Switzerland 15th February, Sweden 2nd April and Norway 5th April.
