CheickTiote4Cheick Tiote hasn’t had the perfect build up to our Europa League tie tonight, the United midfielder being arrested after training on Tuesday.

Tiote had his £75,000 Chevy Camaro seized and towed away by police on suspicion of fraud relating to various driving offences, the player left at the side of the road near the training ground at Benton.

Cheick previously had a BMW taken away by the police a couple of years ago, due to insurance issues.

A Northumbria Police spokesman;

“At around 1.30pm on Tuesday, a car was stopped on Benton Park Road, Newcastle, and a 26 year old man was arrested on suspicion of fraud in relation to driving offences”.

As a neutral this is the kind of thing you lap up when it happens to another club’s player and it is a great story for the media.

I have a feeling Cheick Tiote might be a little pumped up for our game tonight and our Ukrainian opponents are about to find out that they might not be too keen on him when he’s angry.

    I know it may all be a big misunderstanding, if not, surely the club has someone to cheik, sorry check up on the players, especially the foreign ones who are not savvy with our laws, customs etc? They are supposed to be grown men but time and again – especially with the British ones! some, not all granted, have proved incapable because of the world they inhabit.

    In order to make sure, as far as possible, the club is not front page news with obvious things like insurances, licences etc. for the cost of 4 days of Tiote’s weekly wage they could employ someone to do that for a whole year!…………I’ll do it!

    Then again I may be wrong (not for the first time) and it is all a big misunderstanding……………
