Toulouse – ‘All The Club Wishes Moussa Sissoko Success At Newcastle’

9 years ago

Toulouse have announced via their website and social media that they have agreed terms with Newcastle United and Moussa Sissoko is on his way to Newcastle United.

We brought you reports from the French media RMC Sport earlier today which stated that;

According to our information, Moussa Sissoko (23) Is well and truly leaving Toulouse for Newcastle this winter.

Olivier Sadran, president of Toulouse, reached an agreement with his English counterparts for the transfer of the French international who is out of contract with TFC at the end of the season.

The amount of the transaction is believed to be 2.5m Euros.

Sissoko, who is thought to have made significant concessions on his signing bonus, will sign for the Magpies on Friday for five and a half years.

Thankfully fears that the situation could get messy with the player and the selling club have proved unfounded and agreement reached between all parties in double quick time.

In their announcement of the departure, Toulouse ended with the following;

‘All the club wishes him (Moussa Sissoko) continued success in his career’.

While all of the signings look as though they can add something to the squad, in the final analysis I think the capture of Sissoko may well be the pick so far.

We did bring news of Toulouse’s confirmation of Sissoko’s departure via Twitter (@NUFCTheMag) earlier tonight but this website article was delayed by a technical problem.
