Time For NUFC To Face Reality?
The thing is, will our unwillingness to break the wage structure for one big signing be costly?
We need goals now that Ba is gone. Whether Remy was the player to get those goals or not, who can say (his goalscoring record doesn’t sound very prolific), but you have to hope NUFC are working on other targets.
I think everyone is more or less resigned to a scenario where January ends, the squad is no better off in terms of numbers or quality, and Pardew is trotting out the same old excuses about ‘not getting over the line’ or the returning players being ‘like new signings’.
If Remy didn’t want to be here, fine, it’s obvious that money talks to him and his representatives but now is not the time for excuses from those in charge at the club.
The squad must be strengthened, if it isn’t we’re possibly down. Simple as.
If Pardew’s sat there on 1st Feb blaming Remy’s people, injuries, other factors – then that simply is not good enough.
