Revealed – The Fans’ Man Of The Match At Villa
Alan Pardew said after the win at Villa that if United hadn’t had Moussa Sissoko in the team, there would have been no three points heading back to Tyneside and now the fans have confirmed that opinion.
It was a relief for fans voting in our Villa man of the match poll, having at last having to ponder who was the best player, unlike pretty much every performance in recent times.
Thanks to the thousands who voted and the clear winner was Sissoko with 38% of the votes and I think the best thing of all is that surely the best is yet to come once he has fully got up to speed with his new surroundings.
The next best were Tim Krul who made some outstanding stops and who won 26% of the vote, while match winner Yohan Cabaye followed with 22%.
Commenting on Sissoko’s excellent introduction to the Premier League, Alan Pardew said;
“I don’t think we’d have won the game if we hadn’t signed Sissoko, that’s how important a signing he was.
I thought he was magnificent and he’ll be a superb player for Newcastle”.
