Remy Offered Same Deal As Ba
With West Ham deep in relegation trouble mid-season, they signed Ba from Hoffenheim on the understanding that the player would be entitled to a free transfer if they did indeed get relegated at the end of the season.
The gamble almost paid off as Ba scored 7 goals in only 12 matches for the Hammers and nearly kept them up. However, in the end it proved an expensive gamble as Ba did use the clause to leave West Ham and so the undisclosed fee they paid Hoffenheim was down the drain after only a few months.
Now it has been claimed by French media sources including RMC, that Remy has been offered a very similar deal with 100,000 Euros (around £84,000) a week deal AND a free transfer option, if QPR are relegated.
Whatever does or doesn’t happen with Remy, Newcastle United need to be getting more goals on the pitch, starting with the Reading match.
