Newcastle United Sell Premier League Team
Sitting in the office I was daydreaming about Newcastle United, as I often do.
This season has turned out to be an unexpected disaster but I got to thinking about the transfer activity over the last few years.

In the past players rarely left Newcastle and stayed in the top division, usually because they weren’t good enough to be there in the first place. Whilst under Keegan and Sir Bobby nobody who was decent was desperate to leave.
Some players have left United never to be seen again but ironically there are a whole team of ex-Newcastle players still out there in the Premier League.
Which got me thinking, would we have been better off if we’d kept hold of this alternative eleven as NUFC have traded in and out in recent times.
The eleven who are still playing in the Premier League are;
Given, Routledge, Nolan, Bassong, Enrique, Duff, Guthrie, Milner, N’Zogbia, Carroll, Ba
For round figures they brought in around £90m or so in transfer fees.
It’s an interesting mix of players and I think overall we’ve ended up with a stronger first eleven (when fit) but would you swap our current first eleven for this lot?
