Newcastle Still In For Remy As Inter Offer Loan Deal

Loic Remy proved his fitness yesterday as he played the full match plus extra time in a French cup-tie against Guingamp which Marseille won 2-1.

Reports afterwards claimed that the player had turned down ‘Arry Redknapp’s QPR but that German sides Borussia Dortmund and Schalke were interested.

Marseille’s Sporting Director, Jose Anigo, said;

“Some English clubs are loking at our players and have not come knocking on the door, it will come

His succession of injuries have hampered him and saw him miss the Euros but I think he is back. I can see in training there’s a renewed confidence.

If he left we still have a strong attack with Gignac and Ayew, we are well equipped”.

There had been reports of Newcastle having a strong representation in France to discuss a possible move and reports today in France say that Newcastle are trying to sign Remy.

The French press are also reporting that Gazetta Dello Sport are saying that Inter have offered a loan deal but the player would prefer a permanent move for whoever he signs for and is awaiting offers from elsewhere…
