It’s Official, The Xisco Kid Rides Off Into The Sunset

8 years ago

After arriving to the bemusement of pretty much everybody in a £6m five year deal, Xisco has now exited with barely a murmur.

An official club statement is very brief and to the point;

‘Newcastle United confirmed today that Xisco’s contract with the club has been terminated by mutual consent.

Xisco joined the Magpies in September 2008 from Deportivo La Coruna’.

This has been rumoured to be on the cards in recent days with the possibility of going on loan until the end of the season with second division Cordoba in Spain mentioned, which basically sums up what a dreadful deal this was.

Instead there is a clean break with the termination of his contract and to be fair to him he looked to have a good attitude, just not the ability.

How we came to do such a deal in the first place is no doubt something that Mike Ashley has come to regret.

Xisco’s place in Newcastle’s history though is assured because of the fact his transfer played a key part in Kevin Keegan saying enough was enough, second time around.
