United Head Back To The Ukraine

The draw to see who Newcastle get in the first knockout round of the Europa League has just been made.

Newcastle have drawn FC Metalist of the Ukraine in the round of 32.

Their 40,000 capacity stadium was given a major makeover for use in Euro 2012.

The other 12 options had been;

Benfica (Portugal)CFR Cluj (Romania)Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk (Ukraine)Fenerbahce (Turkey)Genk (Belgium)Hannover 96 (Germany)Lazio (Italy)Lyon (France)Olympiakos (Greece)Rubin Kazan (Russia)Steaua Bucuresti (Romania)Viktoria Plzen (Czech Republic)

Newcastle will play the first leg on February 14th at home and the second leg away on February 21st.

The draw for the last 16 was also made and if United get that far they will play either FC Anzhi Makhachkala of Russia or German side, FC Hannover. Ties currently scheduled to be played on March 7th and 14th,
