Marveaux and Bigi Start For Newcastle
Despite the limited options at his disposal, Alan Pardew has added the odd surprise to today’s starting line-up at Old Trafford, with Cheick Tiote an enforced omission after earning a suspension following his latest yellow card against Queens Park Rangers.
In a surprise move, both Marveaux and Bigirimana are included, with no sign of Jonas in the eighteen.
In what is obviously going to be a tough assignment anything will be seen as a bonus from today’s match.
The eleven taking the field today are as follows;
Krul, Simpson, Coloccini, Williamson, Santon, Anita, Perch, Bigirimana, Ba , Cisse, Marveaux
Cisse keeps his place while some fans thought Shola might feature after his QPR match winner but he is only on the bench, alongside Obertan who could have been in line for a start to try and help contain Evra attacking down our right.
The bench is;
Elliot, Tavernier, Ferguson, Obertan, Sammy Ameobi, Campbell, Shola
Interesting, and welcome, to see teenage striker Adam Campbell make the bench after his recent injury.
While interesting to see no Wayne Rooney, even on the bench.
The home side starting with;
De Gea, Smalling, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Scholes, Giggs, Van Persie, Hernandez
Lindegaard, Wootton, Tunnicliffe, Vidic, Cleverley, Fletcher, Buttner
