Light At The End Of The Tunnel And It Isn’t A Train!
We worried the hell out them, we passed well in midfield, we pressed well in midfield, we didn’t play loads of long balls, we played 4-5-1 defending and 4-3-3 when attacking, we were committed, we played without fear for 80 minutes and the team made us proud again. What a game of football!
Yes I know we lost and no more points but there’s lots of good news…
Williamson was booked so he’s not available against Arsenal; that means Perch back in next to Colo and I’m all for that.
Marveaux was excellent; that’s a worry for Spiderman but on that performance Marveaux deserves to keep his place in the side on the left, he was outstanding!
Tiote’s back in against Arsenal to fill in the gap left by Perch going to centre half, all positive stuff!
The Manager has changed tack and he’s playing like we haven’t got anything to lose, that’s bang on the money. We were never going to get much from this holiday programme and if we come out the other side with no more points than we have now but we’re playing like we did last year, with the brilliant attacking and flowing mentality, then there’s no chance we’ll go down.
With the injuries stacking up but a positive change in performance levels, then maybe more chance of more players in the transfer window, fingers crossed!
Only real downside from yesterday was Anita getting injured, hopefully he’s ok for Saturday but if not Obertan can play wide right, Marveaux wide left, Cisse, Tiote and Bigi in the middle!
It’s important you go after teams like Arsenal, if you give them room to play they’ll kill you. You have to chase them down and you have to attack them,.if we lose again but play in the same way as yesterday we’ll be more than halfway there to getting back to our best.
Happy days, there’s light at the end of the tunnel and it’s not a train coming the other way
