Demba Ba Reacts To Transfer Speculation

Most of you will be aware that the ‘Demba Ba will leave if he doesn’t get £???’ headlines surfaced again yesterday.

The bones of the story this time is that supposedly Ba could leave if Newcastle don’t pay him ninety grand a week while NUFC are allegedly prepared to raise his weekly wage from forty to fifty thousand if the player agrees to get rid of the contract clause allowing him to leave for around £7m.

Using his Twitter account, Demba Ba has reacted with, “Here we go again…”, quite a low key and sardonic response to the latest stirring.

I do have a lot of sympathy for Ba because on the pitch he has done the business in his time at St.James’ Park and all of his public statements have never hinted at all that he will be off if he doesn’t get extra cash.

However, on the other hand his ‘representatives’ have seemingly always been agitating behind the scenes and of course there was the fiasco surrounding the Everton match when Demba was left on the bench and his agent made public statements saying he could leave, though it was claimed all parties kissed and made up afterwards.

If Demba Ba allows his representatives to carry on like they have done then he can’t exactly say it is nothing to do with him and have the best of both worlds.

One thing is for sure though and that is that as long as that contract clause exists, these stories will keep on coming every transfer window and only two people can change that.

One is a billionaire businessmen who is renowned for offering what he thinks a business/footballer is worth and not negotiating beyond that, the other is Demba Ba.
