With Newcastle United attempting to claim their first Premier League win at Anfield since 1994, Alan Pardew has come up with a team/formation that contains the odd surprise.

He has gone with what the eleven ‘purples’, including Anita at right-back instead of Simpson..

Both Steven Taylor and Cisse reinstated to the starting eleven and Demba Ba passed fit to play, while Anita slots in at right-back – the position he’s impressed in when playing there.

Game on!

The manager has gone with the following starting eleven;

Krul, Anita, Taylor, Coloccini, Santon, Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Perch, Gutierrez, Cisse, Ba

With the following in reserve;

Harper, Williamson, Ferguson, Simpson, Obertan, Sammy Ameobi, Shola Ameobi ***late change on the bench with Simpson replacing Bigirimana

Liverpool came unstuck against Swansea in the League Cup midweek and proof of how shocking Liverpool’s home form has been, if they won today it would be the first time since September 2011 that they had won back-to-back home matches.

The home side line-up with;

Jones, Wisdom, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique, Sterling, Allen, Gerrard, Sahin, Suso, Suarez

Best Odds on today’s match – Newcastle to win 5/1Ba to score first goal 8/1Newcastle to win 1-0 18/1 – Cisse First Goal 17/2
