Looking Positive For Demba Ba

Alan Pardew was more upbeat today when talking about the chances of Demba Ba’s availability for the match at Anfield on Sunday.

Looking to build on the fortunate win over West Brom, the manager had this to say about the striker who currently jointly leads the Premier League goalscoring charts;

“Demba has a knock but he still has a good chance, he will come into my thinking tomorrow”.

On Sunday Newcastle’s biggest problem will be overcoming what is in their own heads as we possess an absolutely abysmal record on Merseyside over the years.

Having your top goalscorer on the pitch is a no-brainer if he’s available and then it would be down to whether Alan Pardew goes with Papiss Cisse alongside him.

With Liverpool playing five in the midfield, Pardew may go for just one up front whoever he has available. As last Sunday proved though, it is a massive bonus if you have a Ba or Cisse to come off the bench if necessary.
