Hatem Ben Arfa In Detention

8 years ago

Hatem Ben Arfa has awarded himself self-imposed detention in the last week as he’s stayed behind after training/school to have extra shooting practice.

Talking ahead of the Swansea match the French genius had this to say;

“We have to win and we have to score more goals. I’ve been doing extra practising, in the last game (West Ham) we created situations but didn’t score.

To win games we have to score and that means we have to keep the ball higher.

Now I’m better but I was very upset, as was everybody else, because we should have won.

We have to win most of our home games as if we don’t, it will be very hard.

If we don’t win then maybe we lose a little confidence but if we win then we can build.

It is very very important, we have to get the three points. We are in the middle of the league and that is not our ambition”.

As one of the few players in our team who ever look like scoring, we’ve relied massively on players like Ben Arfa and Demba Ba scoring goals out of nothing.

Hatem has the added problem of having a minimum of two men on him at all times which again points to other team members having to step up and take advantage of the opposition being preoccupied with Ben Arfa.

Today would be the perfect time for a Hatem Ben Arfa special to spark both players and fans back to life.
