Alan Pardew – A Worried Man

One thing you certainly get with Alan Pardew is an honest assessment after matches, rather than blaming the referee or the tea lady.

This is what the manager had to say in the aftermath of the defeat at St.Mary’s;

“We’re worried, of course we’re worried, because we are Newcastle United and we’ve really got that dressing room to take into Wednesday night.

It isn’t like we can add four or five players from the squad into that group. That is our group and they have been soundly beaten and are going to another tough place.

We have three days to try and lift the team to try and get ready for another tough game”.

Yes Newcastle might have injuries but on Wednesday he is likely to have eight of his first eleven available with only Steven Taylor, Cabaye and Ben Arfa missing, plus James Perch should give him another option as he returned to the bench on Sunday.

Blaming anything on injuries is a wast of time anyway as at this moment in time only the current squad players have the answers, if any, while what happens then in the January transfer window is anybody’s guess.
