Striker Available Thursday Night

After scoring a hat-trick against Stoke’s reserves, a few people are wondering whether Xisco could get involved in Thursday’s Europa League match against Club Brugge.

The Spanish striker is registered to play in The Europa League group matches, plus of course he is one of the twenty two senior players named who can play in the Premier League.

A striker scoring goals is never a bad thing but doing well against an inexperienced Stoke outfit is a bit different to playing in a ‘proper’ match.

A few cameo appearances could just possibly help Newcastle get something back on a player who has proved a financial disaster, although of course it wasn’t the player’s fault NUFC signed up to the costly transfer.

The big downside of giving the Spaniard any minutes on the pitch is that it would almost certainly be at the expense of teenager Adam Campbell, who will be champing at the bit to show Alan Pardew he deserves to be moving closer to the first team.
