NUFC’s Young Talent In Possible Move Over The Water
It would seem a bit of a no-brainer to see Newcastle continue to build on their relationship with Gateshead.
With the ‘Heed’ able to offer the best standard of lower league football on the doorstep, it would appear sensible for both parties to expand the initiative. In recent times Gateshead have given pitch time to the likes of James Tavernier and now the Heed’s manager, Ian Bogie is looking to bag another one or two.
Speaking to the Chronicle he said;
“I have spoken to both Newcastle and Sunderland about bringing players in, I have had no success at that so far. Newcastle only really have Adam Campbell in terms of a player who who make a difference to us at the top end.
I have also enquired about Curtis Good but he is away with Australia. We like our big brothers to help us out with players from time to time”.
