Everybody Available But Pardew Springs Surprises

9 years ago

Despite all of Newcastle’s elite players being named in the eighteen men to take on the mackems, Alan Pardew has still sprung a couple of surprises.

Mike Williamson and Shola ‘The Mackem Slayer’ Ameobi both play, taking the anticipated places of Steven Taylor and Papiss Cisse in the following line-up;

Krul, Simpson, Williamson, Coloccini, Santon, Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Tiote, Jonas, Ba, Shola

On the bench it is;

Harper, Steven Taylor, Ferguson, Perch, Anita, Obertan, Cisse

Predictable that Krul would come in if anywhere near fit as we have massively missed him but possible that Alan Pardew is looking after Steven Taylor and not risking him unless he has to – considering what a miss he was last season.

Brave decision to leave Cisse out in favour of Shola but the massive plus with that is if called for, I’m sure Papiss Cisse will be busting a gut to show why he should have started.

Best odds for Sunday Newcastle Have been backed in to favourites and are now 13/8 to win, Newcastle to lead at HT and FT is 18/5 and Demba Ba 6/1 to score first goal (Prices can change) Sign up to BetVictor and get a £25 free matched bet
