D-Day For New NUFC Striker In January?

It is decision day for Cheick Tiote, Demba Ba, Papiss Ciusse and Alan Pardew today.

At 7.30pm (UK time) Senegal try to overturn a two goal deficit in their African Cup Of Nations qualifier against Cheick Tiote’s Ivory Coast.

Any of the three players will be a massive miss despite the indifferent form so far from both Cisse and Tiote.

Alan Pardew ‘looks forward’ to the match;

“Senegal v Ivory Coast is a massive game for this football club. If Senegal win then we lose both (Cisse and Ba) of them, so in the next (January) window we would have to do something about it”.

Mike Ashley has shown little interest in bringing players in and loan and no doubt sees it as money down the train for an asset that isn’t yours.

However, it would go totally against the grain if Ashley sanctioned a signed purely in response to fill a short-term problem position.

It just won’t be funny if we are double Demba free come January.
