A Black & White World, Apart From When It’s Lime Green

The result is of course the only thing that matters today but it is puzzling why the decision has been made to wear the Lime Green third strip instead of the usual Black & White.

The club sent out the following via Twitter;

“Just to clarify, NUFC not able to wear black & white on Sunday because both teams wear black shorts & socks. Would not be permitted by PL”.

For the biggest game of the season the players should be wearing the stripes, it is our colours and the thing you want to see when the players are going into ‘battle’ on derby day.

Unfortunately, this appears to be another small, but not insignificant, example of the club not employing enough people who are switched on to the supporters.

Any fan could tell you that yes we understand that the black shorts and socks couldn’t be worn, which is why we normally simply change the shorts and socks to white, but keep the black and white shirts, simples!
